How to install a DIY auto vent shade

Are you tired of sitting in your car in the summer heat? Of course, you are. When it’s 95+ degrees outside, you don’t want to sit inside a hot car all day long.

To help solve this problem, I created a DIY auto vent shade.

I created this simple guide to show you how to install a DIY auto vent shade.

What is an auto vent shade?

An auto vent shade is a device that sits between the windows and the windshield to keep the air flowing. They can help you save money on the AC by cooling the inside of your car.

But you can use them for other things, too.

Here are some ideas for using an auto vent shade.

The benefits of installing an auto vent shade

Air circulation is one of the most important aspects of keeping your vehicle cool. It would help if you used a fan or an air conditioner to keep things cool. However, this isn’t a simple task. In the summer, you can’t just open the window and let the breeze in. You can’t just leave your car window down during the summer because you’ll end up with a sticky mess. Installing an auto vent shade is a simple DIY project that can save money.

You install an auto vent shade.

Auto vent shades work by blocking out the sun and blocking the air. They have the same effect as a physical shade, except they’re flexible and won’t break the bank. While an auto vent shade might seem like a no-brainer, you must ensure that you buy the right type. The best kind of auto vent shade is a double-sided shade.

Tips on how to install an auto vent shade

You know what you’re doing; you have all the necessary tools and materials. Before you start, you need to prepare your car. Start by removing all the interior fabric from the back of your vehicle. You’ll also need to remove all the metal trim and the door panels. So you’re ready to install an auto vent shade on your car.

Once you’ve prepared your car, you’ll need to measure where the vent will go. You should also check the location of the ducts on your dashboard.

Next, it’s time to assemble the hardware. First, you’ll need to secure the vent itself to the car. You can either drill holes into the vehicle and insert screws, or you can use zip ties.

Next, you’ll need to put it in the window. You can use double-sided tape, or you can use some double-stick tape. You’ll also need to screw the top part of the vent down. Make sure that the vent is level before you do this.

Finally, you’ll need to secure the vent to the car with some duct tape. Be sure to cover all the edges and corners of the vent.

Why do you need to build a car shade?

Let’s face it. You’ve tried everything to keep your windows clear. You’ve used duct tape, you’ve been attempting to put a plastic bag over your window, and you’ve even gone as far as to try to paint the glass black.

It’s no secret that your windows fog up, so what’s the problem? It’s the sun. When the sun shines, it heats inside your car and condenses the water vapor in the air. As a result, moisture builds up on the glass, creating a film that prevents the sun from shining.
